15.1hh 5-year-old grey mare for sale in North Yorkshire, ideal for hacking, riding club activities, pleasure riding and endurance.

Standing at 15.1hh and 5 years old, she is an incredibly sweet-natured grey mare who is looking for a kind home where she can continue her education and enjoy plenty of adventures.

Hacking

Her greatest strength is hacking. She is confident and sensible both alone and in company and will happily take the lead or follow behind.

She has proven to be excellent in traffic and has encountered:

✔ Buses

✔ Agricultural machinery

✔ Rattling trailers

✔ Police vehicles with sirens

✔ General road traffic

She remains calm and sensible, making her an enjoyable and reliable hacking partner.

Schooling

Schooling has not been a major focus, although she has a solid foundation and is continuing to develop.

She understands groundwork exercises including:

• Backing up
• Yielding her hindquarters
• Basic ridden responsiveness

With further schooling she would make a lovely riding club horse, low-level dressage prospect, pleasure horse or endurance partner.

Incredibly sweet mare, really sad sale. She hacks lovely, will go in front or behind, by herself or in company. Isn’t bothered by traffic, she’s seen tractors, buses, rattly trailers, police cars with sirens etc. She’s not done a lot of schooling with me, its not what I’m interested in, but she can back up and yield her hindquarters on the ground and is developing this under saddle.

Good feet, currently barefoot. Good to groom, for farrier, vet and dentist.

Not suitable for a complete novice, she’s kind but can be sensitive. She would be perfect for someone wanting to go on adventures, do some low level dressage or riding club, or endurance. I have plenty of videos of her out hacking.
