Super fun coblet who does it all

Bertie is an 11-year-old, full-up 12.2hh blue and white gelding cob who’s done it all and is ready to help the next little rider find their confidence and have fun.

Owned for 2.5 years, he was bought for our daughter to learn to ride on and has been the perfect partner – now outgrown, he’s ready to teach his next family.

Bertie has attended countless Pony Club rallies, camps, dressage tests, mini ODEs, mounted games, and has even been hunting – where he loves to lead the way. He’s bombproof to hack, brilliant in open spaces, and totally safe in traffic.

Our 10-year-old regularly hacks him out with friends, and even rides him bareback to the field. He’s also been happily handled and ridden by our 4-year-old.

He’s not a push-button pony – Bertie is off the leg and will teach a child to ride properly.

He can be cheeky when jumping if the rider is inexperienced or has loose reins, so he’s best suited as a 1.5 pony – ideal for a child with some experience or with the support of an older sibling or parent. Once understood, he’s incredibly honest and fun.
